Toronto, Ontario — The Boyd Group has announced that it will be transforming from an income trust to a public corporation under the new name Boyd Group Services Inc.
What Boyd is calling the ‘Arrangement’ was confirmed on Monday, Dec. 2 in the group’s home province of Manitoba. Approximately 81.03 percent of all unitholders within the company took part in the voting process. Of the results, 97.77 percent voted for the Arrangement with just 2.23 percent voting against.
Boyd assures that this transformation will not falter its—and its subsidiaries—operations as one of the largest operators of non-franchised collision repair centres in North America. The company seeks to gain final approval for the Arrangement on Dec. 10.
