Ahlstrom’s new flame-retardant paper is built for spray painting booths where heat, moisture and overspray make fire prevention a constant concern.
Developed using the company’s Flame-Gard technology, the material is engineered to resist ignition by charring rather than combusting when exposed to flame—and self-extinguishing once the heat source is removed. The technology’s treatment process limits afterburn and afterglow while maintaining structural integrity, helping shops contain risk in high-heat environments.
The paper can be installed on walls, ceilings or floors as a protective covering, or converted into filtration components for spray booth systems. Its moisture resistance and mechanical strength make it well suited to daily collision repair and refinishing work.
