Toronto, Ontario — June 27, 2018 —Terrence Hahn has been named as chief executive officer for Axalta Coating Systems.
The decision, made by Axalta’s board of directors, was announced Wednesday. Hahn will take over the new role effective Sep. 4, 2018, succeeding former CEO Charlie Shaver, who chose to step down.
Shaver had occupied the role of CEO since 2013 and will remain on Axalta’s board as a non-executive chairman, working with Hahn to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
In addition to his role as CEO, Hahn will also serve on Axalta’s board of directors, expanding the board’s size to nine directors.
Hahn most recently worked as president and chief officer for Honeywell International Inc’s Home and Building Technologies group.
