Toronto, Ontario — August 29, 2019 — Matthew Creese is the new general manager for ADESA in St. John’s NL. Also newly appointed are Jeff Hyde and Kjersta Lloyd in San Diego and Oregon respectively.
Creese spent 10 years in retail management for Ford, BMW, and Volkswagen. He was also network developer for Jaguar Land Rover as well as an ownership experience manager for Lexus — both in South Africa.
The regional vice president for ADESA Canada, Simon Robitaille, spoke highly of the newly promoted manager.
“Matthew impressed us with his various experience, knowledge of the industry, his strong interest in our company and his desire to be part of the remarketing industry in Canada,” said Robitaille. “His management style aligns well with our values, and we look forward to his contributions in making St. John’s a great location for our customers and staff.”
Hyde was previously the commercial accounts manager for ADESA L.A. before being promoted to operations manager four years ago, touting more than 25 years of auction experience. Most recently, he had been serving as assistant general manager for the Las Angeles location.
Lloyd has been with ADESA for 20 years, previously serving as a clerk and damage appraiser at an ADESA bodyshop in Seattle. After working as assistant fleet/lease manager, consignment manager in addition to the internet sales manager, Lloyd also took charge as the dealer service and sales manager of ADESA’s Houston location. She then became the general sales manager at ADESA Golden Gate and director of sales for the company’s Midwest division.
Lawrence Cubitt, the vice president of ADESA’s western division, praised the managers.
“Both Jeff and Kjersta are respected by customers and teammates alike, and they are joining experienced, customer-service driven teams,” said Cubitt. “I am confident that each of them will continue to grow the business and deliver the leadership and service that teammates and customers have come to expect.”
