Thornhill, Ontario--September 9, 2010--Media Matters Incorporated, publishers of Collision Repair, Collision Québec, Canadian Auto Recycler, BODYWORX Professional and WaterWorx, has announced the upcoming release of the first fully Canadian and bilingual training portal for all sectors of the collision repair industry for fall 2010.

For the past six months, Media Matters staff has compiled the most extensive, complete guide to training in the Canadian collision repair industry. Market research shows the industry is heading towards a digital B2B model and is in need of a website that provides training information that is central and online with 24-hour access. The website will act as an information clearinghouse, giving a unified focal point to the fragmented sectors of the auto claims economy.

“Training is essential in today’s industry for progressive collision repair facilities to maximize profitability,” said Darryl Simmons, Media Matters Inc CEO and publisher. “This portal will build on the success of our first Training Directory published in 1996. It's an online source for people to plan their training and help develop career paths.”

The highly anticipated new interactive and digital components will be in-line with today’s digital B2B culture and are expected to be sure hits with site visitors. Users will be able to navigate training courses offered from industry organizations and corporations, community colleges and manufacturers. An easy-to-use search engine will allow Canada's collision repair industry better chart its collective future, as it dovetails with the increased focus on skilled trades.

Repairers and the insurance industry will be able to map out the career paths that are quickly becoming necessary in a trade faced with constant advancements in materials and technology. In addition, they will receive the most up-to-date news on training that is specific their trade and interests.

Whether you are a fresh-out-of trade school graduate, seasoned veteran, or industry leader there is something of interest for everyone on this website.

The official release is expected to take place late-October of 2010.
